Wood Cookware
![]() Wood cookware includes wood utensils and wood used in the handles of conventional metal cookware such as pots and pans. Wood cutting boards are still a traditional favorite, although cooks today are careful to use separate cutting boards for meat and other ingredients in order to prevent cross-contamination. Wooden spoons, spatulas and other utensils are also kitchen mainstays as are wooden rolling pins. Wooden pizza paddles are clever kitchen tools as well. In cookware, wood is generally reserved for the handles of pots and pans; since wood does not conduct heat, wooden handles stay cooler to the touch even when on the stove. | Sponsored links
