Josiah Spode perfected the blue underglaze printing on earthenware from hand engraved copper plates in 1784. Since then, Spode's original blue and white designs have become some of the most collectable and sought after in the history of ceramics. To the delight of connoisseurs and collector's, many of the traditional designs from the Blue Room collection archive are again being produced. Each plate in this set of 6 Georgian Plates features a different scene, including: Botanical, Floral, Girl at Well, Rome, Willow, and Woodman. Features the original blue on white coloration and measures 10-in. in diameter. Handwash-recommended.
